In the relaxed and beautiful south of Mahe you'll find Anse Takamaka. Right here, only a few steps from the water's edge, the charming hotel/guesthouse Chez Batista welcomes you. It's perfect for a quiet relaxation holiday or for those who wish to discover the nature's beauty of the island's south.

3 slightly elevated bungalows with 6 spacious and modern "Superior" rooms all come with private verandah and great sea view. The "Standard" rooms are a little smaller in size and set back in the garden. However, they are even closer to the powdery, white beach which is only a few steps from any of the rooms.
The new "Takamaka Mini Suites" offer a great view of the beach, are very spacious and even have a private jacuzzi on the terrace! Note: there is construction going on next to the suites (2011), so we discourage booking those until that's finished.

The beach is perfect for lazing, swimming and snorkelling (see pictures).

All rooms have private verandah, aircon, bathroom/WC/bidet, hair dryer, IDD telephone, TV, ceiling ventilator, minibar with fridge ond coffee/tea making facilities.

Directly on the beach, the rustic restaurant with its natural atmosphere has a floor of beach sand. Sometimes the food here is phantastic, sometimes it's not so great. This is why we offer Chez Batista's on B&B basis only. You may order lunch and dinner à la carte. The bar is always open, serving ice cold beers, freshly prepared tropical fruit juices, cocktails, etc.

Note: From May through July there may be large waves coming in from the southeast at times, making swimming/snorkelling impossible. In the month of June, the hotel is closed.
